Pilot project launched on non-emergency transport for patients
Hywel Dda Health Board | Road testing improved transport for non-emergencies
Hywel Dda Health Board is working with partners to road test improvements in non-emergency transport for patients. A new one-year contract with the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (WAST) is being piloted, from April 1 ahead of formal consultation on the future of local healthcare. The contract potentially increases the opportunities for local voluntary and charitable organisations to provide transport for the circa 70,000 patient journeys undertaken each year.
