'Costume Day' for ladies at The Ashburnham Golf Club

The dress code will be very different at the Ashburnham Championship Links Golf Club in Pembrey this weekend.
Ladies taking part in a special tournament to mark 100 years of women's golf at 'The Ash' will be teeing off in costumes from days gone by.
Ladies captain Iris Jacob said: "It's just one of a number of ways we are marking the centenary of the formation of the ladies section at 'The Ash'.
"The ladies section started in 1912, so we are encouraging everyone playing on Saturday to dress in 'period costume'.
"It's up to the players themselves. They may choose to dress up in 1912 style, or they may chose something more contemporary like a 1970s theme.
"Whatever they pick, it should be a colourful and entertaining event."
The club recently held its first mixed foursomes of the season.
The very first mixed foursomes at the club saw eight couples taking part and the winners were Mr and Mrs W B Roderick.
Mr and Mrs W Brodie (Mr Brodie was a well-respected solicitor in Llanelli) presented the Brodie Shield to the club for mixed foursomes. This year, 18 couples took part and the winners were Mr and Mrs Wyn Davies.
