Trinity students off to Gregynog

For the first time, Religious Studies students who are following their courses in the Welsh language at Trinity University in Carmarthen will meet at a special conference to be held in the beauty and grandeur of Gregynog.
The conference has been organised jointly by the School of Theology and Religious Studies, Bangor University, and the School of Theology and Religious Studies, Trinity University College, Carmarthen.
The conference theme is ‘Aspects of World Religions’, and there will be three full presentations followed by discussion: ‘The Jew through the eyes of the Christian’ by Professor Gareth Lloyd Jones (Bangor University), ‘World-wide Christianity: A Glance Backwards and Forwards’ by Dr Noel Davies (Trinity University College) and ‘Jesus, Women and the Jewish Context’ by Dr Catrin Williams (Bangor University).
There will also be an opportunity for students to discuss their needs and to express their views on Welsh medium provision.
The conference will begin after supper on Thursday, 18 February, and will end after lunch on Friday, 19 February.
The conference is sponsored by the Centre for Welsh Medium Higher Education.
