Autumn Fete for Stomach Cancer Awareness at Glangwili Hospital

To celebrate their one year anniversary, the Upper GI Cancer Support Group at Glangwili Hospital is holding an autumn fete this Sunday (October 13) from 11 am to 2 pm in the Cambrian Room.
The group was set up by upper GI clinical nurse specialist Michelle Thomson, for patients recovering from surgery for oesophageal and gastric cancer.
They offer support and advice for the patients and family members of those affected by the disease.
Hywel Dda Health Board is committed to raising awareness about oesophageal and stomach cancer.
It is also part of the Health Board’s Ten Pledges to reduce the number of people dying from cancer by 100 people a year, within five years.
