Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is investing in 16 new specialist fire appliances that will be rolled out service-wide over the coming months to significantly improve its fire and rescue capability, particularly in rural areas.
The innovative new Rural Response Pumps are custom-made 4x4 vehicles fitted with ultra high performance fire fighting and rescue equipment.
These vehicles are being introduced to improve the Service´s ability to respond to emergencies in rural areas and areas with difficult access. They will also improve the Service´s existing fleet enabling an improved emergency response during periods of severe weather including flooding and snow.
