Golden opportunity to celebrate Aberystwyth Fire Station´s 50th anniversary

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are encouraging local people to get into the Olympic spirit early and join them to celebrate Aberystwyth Fire Station´s golden anniversary on Saturday 26 May - the day before the Olympic Flame arrives in the town.
The station will be opening its doors to the local community from 1 - 4pm for a family-friendly open day with games, activities and refreshments. Visitors will be able to ´soak the fireman´, meet Fireman Sam and try out the Aerial Ladder Platform, aswell as enjoying stalls selling cakes and a charity raffle. Representatives from The Firefighters Charity, Ceredigion County Council´s Road Safety Team and the local Coastguard will also be on hand to chat to visitors.
