Gŵyl y Gwanwyn Spring Festival in Ffarmers

There will be plenty for everyone to enjoy at the Gŵyl y Gwanwyn Spring Festival in Ffarmers on Saturday 26th May.
Starting at 2pm, the festival will include exhibitions of vintage tractors and commercial and rare breed sheep, demonstrations of rural crafts and skills, children’s activities and a barbecue are all on offer in the Village Hall and on the community field.
Folk dancers Dawnswyr Penrhyd, and folk group Jac y Do and Ammanford Silver Band will be providing the entertainment and it promises to be a great day out for all the family with entry only £3 or free for schoolchildren.
The event has been organised by the Neuadd Bro Fana Committee and received funding from the RDP Sir Gâr Innovative Hubs scheme’s Dathlu Diwylliant grant. The grant aims to widen access to quality cultural events through the medium of Welsh and provide opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy and participate in the arts in rural Carmarthenshire. Community groups can apply for up to £5000 towards the cost of putting on such events.
Neuadd Bro Fana Secretary Elfyn Davies said: “we simply wouldn’t have been able to put on such a big event in our small community without the help we received from RDP Sir Gâr”.
RDP Sir Gâr are funded by the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which has been funded by Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
