Raising awareness of male cancers this Health Wednesday

Hywel Dda Health Board | Raising awareness of male cancers this Health Wednesday
This Healthy Wednesday the Hywel Dda Health Board is raising awareness of male cancers.
More than 40,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with a male-specific cancer every year – sons, fathers and husbands face the risk of prostate, penile or testicular cancer.
As part of its 10 pledges, the Hywel Dda Health Board is aiming to reduce the number of people dying from cancer by 100 a year in five years time. Testicular cancer is most common in younger men aged between 15-45 years, with around 2000 new cases diagnosed per year.
