Twlight service members are 'carer aware'

Members from a service which helps take people home from hospitals in Carmarthenshire have become more carer aware.
Five members of the Twilight team from Menter Cwm Gwendraeth attended the Carer Aware e-Learning courses held at Hafan Derwen and Withybush Hospital.
The team have daily contact with carers during their normal work, so a clear understanding of the carer’s role and their rights is fundamental. The course provided the team with the information and confidence to provide guidance and direction for carers when transporting patients home.
Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships Peter Llewellyn said: “The supported courses allowed the team to complete the course with relatively little previous PC experience and made the learning an enjoyable and informative experience. They will also now able to give additional comfort and support at a difficult time.
“Well done to all the participants who passed with flying colours and the Twilight Team are truly “Carer Aware”.
