East Gate night time car parking hike could have 'dramatic' impact, say businesses

East Gate night time car parking hike could have 'dramatic' impact, say businesses | Llanelli Star
Charges for parking at Llanelli's East Gate car park will be enforced until 9pm prompting fears of a "dramatic" impact on the town's theatre, cinema, and restaurants.
Carmarthenshire Council's traffic and parking manager John McEvoy said later charges from 6pm to 9pm at the car park will be introduced from April 1, 2015.
He explained that these costs are being brought in to reflect "the changing use and demands on this car park up to 9pm".
Elli ward councillor John Jenkins said the charges could deter people from visiting the town to use the East Gate facilities.
