Latest 'View from Richmond Park' column from the Journal

The latest 'View from Richmond Park' Carmarthen Town AFC column from the Carmarthen Journal -
An appeal has gone out for members of Carmarthen Town AFC to renew their season tickets as the new Welsh Premier League campaign gets underway.
“Running a Welsh Premier League side is an expensive businesses and Carmarthen Town needs as much support as it can muster from the community,” said vice-chairman Robert Lloyd.
“Club members are asked to subscribe to the season tickets offer as soon as possible so that official passes can be handed out for the start of the new season at Richmond Park.
“In addition, we are hugely grateful to the club’s vice-presidents for their support and would like to remind them that VPs fees are also due.”
Anyone interested in taking advertising space in the match-day programme should contact Robert Lloyd on 07777 683637.

Congratulations to Johnstown's Gavin Rees, a student at Queen Elizabeth High School, who was selected for the Wales Semi-Professional squad to play against The Republic of Ireland at Holyhead. Gavin has been a member of Carmarthen Town's Academy for several years

Supporters who buy the Carmarthen Town AFC match day programme will know that we also have a page dedicated to Merlin’s Magic Boxes.
This is designed for supporters to show their support by putting their name (or any message) in the programme for only £10 for the whole season.
We can fit a maximum of 60 boxes onto the page and last season, thanks to your generous support, we were able to fill the page ready for our first home game.
It would be great if we could do the same again in advance of our first home game against Newtown on August 13.
Please consider extending your already valuable support for next season by purchasing one or more of Merlin’s Magic Boxes. Contact Paul Ashley-Jones on 07775 820864.

Carmarthen Town is now recruiting a new media officer.
The position could be filled by a job-share between a number of interested Carmarthen Town supporters. Anyone who is interested or who needs further information about the post, can ring Robert Lloyd on 07777 683637.
The position may be of interest to students interested in pursuing a career in journalism. They will have the opportunity to learn new skills and the chance to work alongside experienced journalists.

Tote draw – August draw, winning numbers 26 and 33. There were no winners of the prize of £400.
