Health fayre for Carmarthenshire staff
Carmarthenshire County Council employees are being invited to give their health and wellbeing a once over.
The authority’s occupational health team is hosting a health fayre at Llanelli Town Hall on Tuesday, November 23, from 11am to 3pm.
Staff will be able to take part in screenings including glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol testing, as well as stress assessments, and nutrition and lifestyle advice.
They will also be able to indulge in some massage and reflexology tasters, and get some information from the leisure department’s Fusion and Vitality teams.
Cllr Pat Jones, the council’s executive board member for health and social care, said: “The authority has held successful health fayres in previous years, and we have always been encouraged by the number of staff that attend.
“The fayre provides an ideal opportunity for staff to take a quick look at their overall health, and if any issues are identified, our teams are able to point them in the right direction to get some help.”
