Open Day at Carmarthen Leisure Centre

Carmarthen Leisure Centre has a free-for-all open day on Sunday, September 16.
All-comers are invited to find a sport or activity to continue the inspirational spirit of the Olympics.
County executive board member for leisure services Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “Our aim as part of the Olympic legacy is to get more people more active more often.
“Both the Olympics and Paralympics have been inspiration for all ages and abilities. Capitalising on this the centre has planned this open day where staff and various sport and craft volunteers will be available to offer guidance and support for those wanting to try a huge variety of activities from the depths of scuba diving to the heights of trampolining.”
Timetabled activities include: Scuba diving,Tai Chi and yoga, martial arts, gymnastics, trampoline demo, kayaking, zumba, walking, cycling, hockey, aquafit, swimming, racquet sports, athletics, swimming lessons and many more.
All day activities include: Arts and crafts, face painting, cheeky monkeys play Ccentre, information stands, health suite, and fitness suite inductions.
Age restriction will apply to some activities. Those interested are advised to check the time table for more details.
Centre visitors will also benefit from special offers provided by Midshire Catering and the Leisure Centre have organised a competition offering free swimming for a year.
