Eggscellent fun in Felinfoel

Felinfoel Communities First in partnership with local community groups pulled out all the stops to keep local children entertained over the Easter half-term.
From Easter Egg hunts with the Llundain Fach and Danybanc Residents Association to Treasure Hunts with the Felinfoel Events Committee, litter picks and health and wellbeing sessions, the officers ensured their was plenty of fun available.
Communities First is a Welsh Assembly initiative aimed at regenerating deprived communities.
The Felinfoel team is run by Carmarthenshire County Council, and a host of events and educational activities are staged in the area every year, along with specific regeneration programmes.
Development Worker Gaynor Price said: “We always try to put different activities on for children during school holidays as it gives them a chance to socialise and have fun in a constructive way.
“Our half term events were well attended, and we had lots of support from parents and local businesses, so we are very grateful, and glad that the events were enjoyed by so many children.”
