Peter Price ready to take reins as new club secretary at Carmarthen Town AFC

Carmarthen Town Football Club is very proud to announce the appointment of Peter Price as the new Club Secretary.
He will take on his new role at the end of the current season.
Current secretary Gareth Jones will continue to oversee some club administrative matters, including UEFA and domestic ground licences for Richmond Park.
Peter said: "I am a passionate supporter of Carmarthen Town. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a player. The time is now right for me to give something back to the club and take on many of the responsibilities previously handled by Gareth Jones.
"Gareth will continue to be a valuable mentor for my work with Carmarthen Town and I look forward to working with him - and other club officials - to make Carmarthen Town AFC an even bigger success story."
Peter is well known as a former player and club captain and highly respected within footballing circles.
His main role within the club for the following season will be:
1. Liaise with The Football Association of Wales, the West Wales Football Association, and the Carmarthenshire League.
2. Administration duties regarding the signing of players, suspensions etc.
3. Liaise with clubs and match officials regarding fixtures.
Gareth Jones said: "Peter's arrival is a major boost to the 'back-room' team here at Carmarthen Town.
"We thank Peter for volunteering for this important role within the club and that he will prove to be a very valuable asset for Carmarthen Town Football Club.
"I will be on hand to continue to offer support and guidance but it will be great to Peter on board as the club continues to make progress both on and off the field of play."
Retiring club chairman Jeff Thomas said: "Gareth Jones has been one of our club keystones for many years now and his work as club secretary has been outstanding over the years. He deserves the thanks of everyone at the club."
Club chairman designate Chris Edwards said: "Building a team off the field, as well as on, is hugely important to us at Carmarthen Town. Gareth Jones has performed outstanding work and will continue to play a big role, but the arrival of Peter Price further strengthens our 'back-room' team and I have no doubt he will be a major asset for Carmarthen Town."
