The council tax paid by householders in a Band D Carmarthenshire homes has topped £1,000 for the first time.
The average council tax on a band D home will be £1017.34p from April — up from £998.50 last year — after Carmarthenshire Council approved the tax figure, which includes police and community council levies.
Carmarthenshire Council leader Councillor Meryl Gravell said: "As a county we have kept it as low a possible, but we have still got to deliver services and maintain growth."
