The ‘View from Richmond Park’ column continues its look at some of Carmarthen Town’s key players –
Lee Bevan (Defender). Born, 10.07.87. A product of Neath Athletic’s Youth system and a member of the Eagles’ promotion squad. Sidelined through injury in 2008/9 and returned to the Welsh Premier with Haverfordwest County. Bevan signed from Clevedon Town in June 2010. Starting his second season with the club
Steve Berry (Defender). Born, 25.01.91. Steve begins his first season with Carmarthen Town having spent last season playing in Sweden . A very skilful defender with an excellent football pedigree
Corey Thomas (Midfield). Born, 30.11.89. A product of Afan Lido’s Youth development programme. The lively midfielder impressed Deryn Brace prior to last season before signing during the summer of 2010. A Welsh Boys Club international he made his Welsh Premier debut in the first game of the 2010-11 season.
Tim Hicks (Forward). Born, 05.04.83. Hicks is aproduct of Town's youth development. Moved to Haverfordwest in 2003 and had a short spell with Aberystwyth Town before returning to the New Bridge Meadow. Tim re-signed for Town summer 2007. Eclipsed his personal goal tally with 15 strikes in 2007-08 season. A very versatile player
Nick Harrhy (Forward). Born, 14.09 82. A former Bristol City youth player, the Abergavenny-born forward joined Newport County in March 2005, having played for most of the season with Gravesend & Northfleet. Following a spell with North Coburg United in Australia moved to Llanelli in September before leaving in March 2007 to return to Australia. The 2010 summer signing has also appeared for Hereford United. Begins his second season with Town

The draw for this season's Mond Cup semi-final has produced two mouth-watering ties:- On Wednesday October 5th last year’s runners-up Pencader entertain Ponthenri and the following Wednesday 12th October sees a local derby between Johnstown and Llanstephan. Both these matches should attract a large crowd. Both games to be played at Richmond Park with a 6.45pm kick off.

There is a fund-raising charity evening planned for Friday 14th October at the Carmarthen Town AFC Community Centre in Richmond Park, in aid of the Ty Cymorth Hospice in Carmarthen.
The event will be an informal affair with tickets priced at £12.50 each and groups of people can be seated together for a cold meat knife and fork buffet.
Pupils of Bro Myrddin School, with a range of musical recitals, and Gurnos Rees, an accomplished soprano cornet player will provide the entertainment. Gurnos has won the soloist prize at the National Brass Band Championship at the Albert Hall and numerous other awards.
There will also be ghostly and humorous contributions from the Reverend Towyn Jones and Councillor Peter Hughes Griffiths.

Carmarthen Town is recruiting a new media officer.
The position could be filled by a job-share between a number of interested Carmarthen Town supporters. Anyone who is interested or who needs further information about the post, can ring Robert Lloyd on 07777 683637.
The position may be of interest to students interested in pursuing a career in journalism. They will have the opportunity to learn new skills and the chance to work alongside experienced journalists.
