Pembrokeshire dance pupils on form

More than 150 pupils with the Pembrokeshire Leisure School of Dance stepped their way to success earlier this month.
The dancers - aged from five to senior citizens - took part in over 500 dance examinations with the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dance) dance board.
All pupils attained highly commended, honours or distinctions across a variety of dance disciplines - from ballroom to classical.
The Pembrokeshire Leisure School of Dance operates classes at its leisure centres, in Milford Haven, Haverfordwest, Fishguard, and Pembroke.
Classes - all with qualified teachers - are offered in six styles of dance; cheerleading, freestyle disco, classical, modern sequence, ballroom and Latin.
They are open to all levels - from complete beginners to more experienced dancers - whether you want to take exams or simply enjoy moving to music!
"Dance of all forms is an extremely healthy exercise, which can benefit people of all ages," said Margaret Jones, Principal of the Dance School.
"Our classes aim to encourage people and give them confidence whether they want to take it seriously and take exams or simply enjoy themselves."
For times and further details of dance classes please contact your local leisure centre.
"Sessions are extremely good value for money," said Margaret Jones. "Dancers can pay weekly or take up the opportunity of Pembrokeshire Leisure Adult Corporate memberships - or Junior memberships- which enable them to do as many dance classes - as well as other activities - as they want each week."
The dance school will be closed for one week at Easter and start afresh with classes starting Monday 12th April 2010.
Meanwhile the next event for Pembrokeshire Leisure School of Dance is a holiday weekend in Somerset at the end of April where dancers will team up with other local authority dance schools for a Fun Day Dance Bonanza covering all the major fields of dance.
