Talley affordable housing plan
Plans for affordable housing will be considered by Carmarthenshire planning committee when it discusses a proposed development in Talley, near Llandeilo.
The county council has received an application for development at the Edwinsford Arms including a residential development with some affordable housing, conversion of the restaurant/public house to two residential dwelling, and reversion to a public house from residential.
The application site consists of the complex of buildings associated with the Edwinsford Arms in the village of Talley; the site also involves the vacant area to the front and the car park to the rear.
If Thursday’s meeting of the planning committee approves the application it will be subject to a Section 106 legal agreement to provide a £15,000 contribution to the open space/play area recently acquired by the community council and to ensure that the affordable dwellings remain affordable permanently.
