Strange but true . . .

The Ministry of Justice spent more than £20,000 on pot plants in the last 11 months, according to figures.
Justice Secretary Jack Straw said the department spent £10,503 on pot plants, and a further £9,658 was attributable to its agencies occupying parts of the headquarters' estate.
The total figure of £20,162.29, excluding VAT, was given in a Commons written reply to Tory David Davies (Monmouth).
