Awards for Carmarthenshire workers
Carmarthenshire County Council’s Social Care, Health and Housing department has congratulated over 400 staff who have gained new qualifications or picked up long service awards.
During its training and long service award ceremony, 278 staff who gained qualifications over the last two years, and 125 staff who had achieved 20, 25 and 30 years long service, were presented with certificates to recognise their achievements.
Director Bruce McLernon said: “It is widely acknowledged that it is our well trained, knowledgeable and committed workforce that enables us to carry out our mission to deliver modern, excellent services that will improve the health and well being of the people of Carmarthenshire.”
Cllr Pat Jones, executive board member for health and social care, added: “I offer my sincere congratulations to the staff who are continually striving to better themselves, and to those who remain so committed to their roles in delivering social care services to our residents.”
