Beacon Bursary business start-up competition launched
This year’s Beacon Bursary has been launched in the Graig Campus of Coleg Sir Gar.
The Beacon Bursary is a business start-up competition run by Carmarthenshire County Council in partnership with Coleg Sir Gar and University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Budding entrepreneurs and newly established businesses can win up to £3,000 financial support, up to a year’s free office space in The Beacon Centre for Enterprise in Dafen, Llanelli and support from business mentors.
The Bursary is open to people living or studying in Carmarthenshire.
At the launch, Barry Liles, Principal of Coleg Sir Gar addressed the audience, highlighting the importance new businesses and entrepreneurship to the local economy.
Expressions of interest for this years’ competition must be submitted by the April 15.
