University Health Board welcomes new Independent Member
Judith Hardisty has been appointed to the post of Independent Member for a period of two years with Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Judith joins the University Health Board as a former NHS Assistant Chief Executive (Organisational Development) and an experienced HR/ Workforce Director. Judith has more than 20 years’ experience of working at Board level with various NHS bodies and over 40 years’ NHS experience across all sectors.
She has an excellent record of leading organisational change and developing workforce and organisational development strategies.
She also has a strong record of establishing and leading effective HR teams ensuring engagement at all levels of the organisation and developing and maintaining partnership working relationships with professionals and trade unions.
Judith retired from the NHS in December 2015 and is currently an external assessor for the Corporate Health Standard and a lay reviewer for Health Inspectorate Wales.
University Health Board Chair, Bernardine Rees, OBE, said: “I am delighted to welcome Judith as a new independent board member. Her experience of working in a large integrated organisation, and in particular, her knowledge and skills in organisational development, will be a great benefit and support to Hywel Dda University Health Board as we look to the future.”
Judith said: “I am honoured and delighted to have been appointed to an Independent Member post at Hywel Dda University Health Board. I am passionate about the NHS and intend to use my experience in the best way I can in the role. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Board and within the Health Board.”
Judith will take up her post on 1 April 2016.
