Midwives to host tea party to celebrate anniversary

Withybush Hospital’s midwife led service is marking its one year anniversary with a celebratory tea party from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday 8 August.
Hosted by our friendly midwives, mums, dads and little ones are warmly invited to join the celebrations, as well as mums-to-be who would like to find out more about the homely and relaxed facilities available and the expert care midwives can provide.
Midwife Sian Phillips is hoping the event will help celebrate the 134 births the midwife-led service has seen in the past year: “It will be wonderful to celebrate this milestone with parents, grandparents and little ones, some of whom I’m sure are not so little anymore! Midwives will also be on hand if any parents-to-be would like to visit the Unit and find out more over a cup of tea and cake.”
The Midwife Led Unit at Withybush, Heverfordwest, provides three birthing suites, including a dedicated birthing pool room, each complete with mood lighting and en suite facilities.
The Midwife Led Unit also hosts a wide range of ante-natal classes for parents-to-be.
To join in the celebrations, call in to the Midwife Led Unit anytime between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 8 August.
