Llanelli concert promoter Cerith Owens is seeing his mission to foster South Wales talent go from strength to strength,
The talented up-and-coming performers of the Loud Applause Rising Stars stable run by Mr Owens have been inundated with requests for concert and event appearances.
"Things are especially busy for our young singers and musical stars," said Mr Owens.
"For example, Rising Star singer Keely Morgan has performed twice with 'Phantom' and 'Les Mis' star Peter Karrie as part of his small halls tour around Wales.
"Keely was very well received and extended her fame to Pembrokeshire."
Mr Owens said he was very proud of the members of the Loud Applause Rising Stars  stable.
"They really have responded very well to the opportunities to perform on the public stage.
“With Rising Stars our work is simple: we help foster and mentor young talent in West Wales.
“We have so many talented youngsters in the area that they deserve the best concert platforms to show what they can do."
Loud Applause Productions was asked by the Royal British Legion and the City and County of Swansea to provide singers for their Armed Forces Day event in Castle Square, Swansea.
Hundreds gathered for the event which included the city’s dignitaries, soldiers and veterans.
The audience was entertained by two popular Loud Applause Rising Stars Samuel Morris and Keely Morgan.
Sam and Keely gave memorable performances and were asked back to perform next year.
The following day, members of the Rising Stars were in Pembrey at Garden Party in aid of the Nepal Earthquake Disaster.
Samuel Morris was joined by Rising Stars soprano Sophie Maliphant and jazz singer Nia Rees, accompanied by Andrew Pike.
Violinist Davinder Singh and his accompanist Guillaume Mathias also took to the stage.
Organised by Susan Roberts and Stradey Park Hotel owner Angela Saunders, the entertainment by the Rising Stars perfectly complemented what was a wonderful event that raised more than £1,100 for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
The Loud Applause team had the opportunity to show off for the first time a brand new sound system, which was operated by Steve Davies of Delta Sound.
This month, two Loud Applause events will include members of the Rising Stars.
The first is at the pre-concert Reception at Llanelly House, prior to the Midsummer Music Concert at St Elli Parish Church on July 11, when Ysgol y Strade (Stradey School) pupil classical guitarist Cai Charles will perform with pianist Andrew Pike.
The following Saturday, the Stradey Castle Soiree will include three Rising Stars - Jazz and Blues singers Nia Rees, Johnny Mansel Lewis and Steven Davies accompanied by Andrew Pike and two instrumentalists guitarist Cai Charles and harpist Ffion Elin Williams.
The autumn will be an extremely busy period for the Rising Stars with many invitations on the books and in the pipeline.
The Annual Showcase Concert for Loud Applause Rising Stars is at the Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli, on November 7

Former Gower MP Gareth Wardell was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of Llanelli Rotary Club held at the Stradey Park Hotel. 'Class of 1980' from Burry Port enjoy reunion

There was a big class reunion held in Burry Port at the weekend. Members of the Class of 1980 from Porth Tywyn (Burry Port junior) School got together at The Coasting Pilot pub. The reunion was organised by Christine Rees and same 22 members of the original class of 28 turn up to discuss their old schooldays. One ‘Class of 1980’ member was Burry Port businessman Owain Davies. He said: “We all have very happy memories of our time in school. We had a fantastic teacher in Mr Heddwyn Jones, who now lives in Four Roads. “We were very fortunate to have the same teacher for three years and we were a very happy class. Mr Jones was an inspiring teacher and we all got on every well and we are all still good friends. “Heather Thomas (now Heather Osmond) made it from Surrey, but she was trumped by Gail Morris, who flew in from Ohio in the United States for the reunion. “It was a fantastic evening at the Coasting Pilot with good food, good wine and good company. Lauryn Davey is making her mark in athletics - but needs sponsors

Ammanford-based Lauryn Davey is making a major mark in the world of Welsh athletics. At just 16, she is the best all-round athlete of her age in Wales. She's chalking up Welsh championship victories and has been honoured by her club, the Carmarthen Harriers. Lauryn's been earmarked as a future international star, but knows the road to the big championships is difficult, demanding and expensive. Ammanford businessman and well-known comic entertainer Phil Evans has launched a campaign to get cash backers for Lauryn's athletics career. "Everyone in the area is hugely proud of her achievements in athletics to date," said Phil. "But we also want to see her go on and do bigger and better things.
