Pirates, plague and plants at the 'Botanic'

Pirates, plague and plants for health | The National Botanic Garden of Wales
Visitors to the National Botanic Garden of Wales at Llanarthne, near Carmarthen, will be transported back in time 400 years this Easter.
Actors from Chance Encounters Theatre will tell the story of the spice-trading Middleton family who moved to the land where the Garden now stands in the early 1600s.
In ‘Pirates, Plague and Plants for Health’, visitors will take an interactive trail where they will meet sailors, servants and wise-women who will help them find out how the Middleton’s made their fortune and how they tried to avoid getting the plague.
