Santa branches out with Christmas Wishes Tree in Llanelli

Llanelli Market is to host its first ever Children’s Christmas Wishes Tree.
Youngsters across the town will be able to create their own special Christmas bauble with the help of Santa’s elf, attach their wish and hang it on the tree.
Children can also make their own personalised festive bauble at home to bring into the market to display on the tree.
Father Christmas will collect all wishes on Christmas Eve.
The tree, decked out in lights only, will be available for decoration from Friday, November 18 and will be located outside The Teapot Café.
There will be a stall on Stepney St (just passed Llanelli Job Centre Plus) on Llanelli Christmas Carnival day (Nov 18) between 4-7pm and children are being urged to come along to decorate their own. Decorations, glitter and crafts will be provided.
The council’s executive board member for markets, Cllr David Jenkins said: “This is a first for Llanelli, and an alternative to the traditional Christmas letter. We are hoping that as many children as possible will take part and fill up the Christmas tree.”
Santa’s elf will also be on hand to help in the indoor market on Saturday, December 10th and 17th between 11am and 3pm.
County Markets Manager, Amanda Davies said: “This is a great opportunity for children to come along and showcase their craft skills, and at the same time send a special message to Santa in a different way.”
