Driving ban for rugby hero

The Llandeilo man who scored the winning points in Llanelli’s 1985 Schweppes Cup Final triumph over Cardiff crashed into two parked cars while driving 300 yards from his local pub to home, magistrates have been told. Ian Wynn Jones, of 6 Carmarthen Road, enjoyed a glittering rugby career throughout the 1980s and 90s which included Wales B caps as well as spells with Llanelli, Cardiff Blues, Bristol and Neath.
