A busy month saw lots of anglers on the water, pleasure fishing and a few small club competitions which resulted in a lot of nice brownies caught and released.
Llandysul anglers had a day out with many members of the current Commonwealth team in their ranks.
There were a lot of big bags of fish recorded and mostly returned.
Jeff Thomson and boat partner caught approximately 30 fish; top sea trout guide Steffan Jones caught 15 fish, Andrew Banner and Jamie Harries boated 15 fish.
But the winner on the day was Welsh international Dion Davies, who out-fished everyone, including his father Eric Davies, also a Welsh international.
A few days later it was the turn of North Wales Police who had one of their eliminators for the Welsh Police Team.

Colin Jones and his boat partner caught more than 30 fish, mainly wild, which were returned.
Colin says it was difficult to kill these truly beautiful fish and all browns should be returned, a case here for catch and release to preserve the indiginous species.
It was Ammanford Angling Club's first club competition of the year on Sunday, with 16 anglers taking part in a friendly competition, eight of whom had stayed and fished the day before and all insisted that they were not competitive!
With a few anglers nursing sore heads, a bright and breezy day awaited them. A lot of anglers recorded some sea trout smolts and all had good sport. Winner on the day was Welsh Coach and international Malcolm Edwards.

After a cold start to the month spring finally arrived at Tal y Llyn, with warmer South Westerlies and overcast conditions. This was the perfect stage for the olives, and on cue they started to hatch one by one. After a few days they were abundant, like an armada of mini windsurfers!
Swallows and Sand Martins were seen feeding on these and the browns were also mopping them up.
There were some large resident fish seen feeding on the fresh olives with just a head and tail rise.
Saturday saw the Welsh Youth Team out on the water, being shown boat handling, entomology, and the art of the dry fly.
