Mark James - Blogger of the Year

Carmarthenshire Council chief executive Mark James wins the inaugural Lloyd Award for Blogger of the Year.
Tune in to his blog on the thisiscarmarthenshire site and you will see why.
There is always the risk of the pot calling the kettle black and I hold my hands up and admit that sometimes as a much as a week goes by without updating this blog.
But I am way off the pace when compared to Mr James.
The Mark James blog works at level few can challenge - just one entry, back on March 12.
And that was about something that happened back in January.
I suppose he can plead pressure of work, lack of time etc. But he could always delegate the updating to someone.
The only entry is worth repeating in all its glory -

I VERY much enjoyed the Parc y Scarlets official opening recently, which was a huge success enjoyed by the largest home crowd the Scarlets have ever had.
The stadium at Pemberton was awash with red shirts and the sounds of "Sospan Fach" and "Yma o Hyd" as the home team triumphed over the visiting Barbarians.
Hundreds of children enjoyed family fun in the training barn before the match and tills were ringing in the Scarlets shop.
The atmosphere in the stadium was warm and welcoming, past Scarlets captains paraded around the pitch, along with members of every feeder club.
Former Scarlets players such as Scott Quinnell visited dignitaries and guests in the packed hospitality boxes proud to show off their new home.
The occasion even attracted pop star Rhydian of X Factor fame who happily signed autographs for staff and sang the praises of the new stadium. He even hinted at performing at the venue – watch this space!
First Minister Rhodri Morgan presented the Carwyn James trophy to winning captain Simon Easterby and a grand fireworks display ended the proceedings.
It was a proud day for Carmarthenshire, the Council and for the Scarlets, and a great start to what we hope will be a very successful new home for the Club, and a wonderful facility for the community.

Classic stuff - I can't wait for the next instalment.
