Peter Sharp is developing a five-acre woodland walk with specimen trees, shrubs and waterside plants.
The grounds include three acres of course fishing ponds, all in a lovely valley setting.
Although the fishery is currently open Monday to Saturday when in season, the woodland walk is a work in progress. Contact: Peter Sharp on 01267 253707.

About Carmarthenshire Growers Association
The CGA is a group of independent nurseries and businesses, working together in Carmarthenshire, to promote Horticulture in the county known as the Garden of Wales.
The membership consists of a mix of plant nurseries (wholesale and retail), landscape and garden designers, garden centres, a cut flower producer and also craftwork such as bird feeders, nesting boxes and houses, as well as garden tubs and troughs.
Added to this one of our members has a collection of vintage machinery which is regularly toured around the shows
Most members can offer a general range of plants such as:
  • Alpines
  • Ferns
  • Fruit bushes
  • Fruit trees
  • Grasses
  • Hardy Perennials
  • Vegetables
From the members who specialise, you will find:
  • Basket plants ~ ready made or made to order
  • Bulbs
  • Christmas Trees
  • Fruit Bushes eg, blueberries
  • Hemerocallis (Daylilies)
  • Hollies
  • Water Plants
Throughout the year we plan to run a series of articles written by members about themselves and/or their plants.
The first article in the series is a spotlight on our Society and can be found entitled 'About Us'.
Each year we host a number of plants fairs where you will have the opportunity to meet some or all of our members. The dates and venues for the fairs can be found on the Plant Fairs page and during the active spring and summer season you will find us advertised with local radio and newspapers. The nurseries open to the public are mentioned on the Members page.
When you come to a plant fair, nearby you can also visit the beautiful gardens of Aberglasney at Llangathen and the National Botanical Garden of Wales at Middleton Hall, Llanarthne. There is an opportunity also during the year to combine a visit to the gardens and attend a plant fair at the same time, as early in the season we have a Spring Fair within Aberglasney Gardens and similarly, we usually link up with a summer event at the National Botanical Garden.
