Llanelli mum found asleep clutching Strongbow while in charge of young children | Llanelli Star
A mum from the Llanelli area was found asleep in her living room clutching a half-empty can of Strongbow while her two young children were upstairs.
Swansea Crown Court heard the woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had drunk around two pints and then six cans of cider on the day in question last month. Her actions prompted some concerns, leading to social services staff contacting police and then visiting the house with officers.
The mother was sentenced to a 12-month community order for two child neglect offences.
