Help available for Carmarthenshire residents who struggle with the rubbish

Help is available for Carmarthenshire people who struggle to put their rubbish out.
Those who are elderly, infirm or disabled can get help to place their refuse at the kerbside for collection.
The county council can arrange to either collect the waste from the doorstep, or from a mutually convenient location.
Technical Services Executive Board Member Cllr Colin Evans said: “Anyone who finds it difficult due to ill health or disability to put their rubbish out for collection can ask us for help.
“We are happy to make alternative arrangements in these circumstances.”
People who would like to take advantage of this service will need to fill in an application form which will have to be signed by a doctor or other health professional.
The forms are available online or from Carmarthenshire Direct call 01267 234567 or email direct@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
