Mark Jones appointed a director at Clay Shaw Butler

Carmarthen chartered accountant Mark Jones has been appointed a director at Clay Shaw Butler.
Mark, 32, was previously a Relationship Accountant with the Carmarthen-based chartered accountants and business consultants.
Clay Shaw Butler senior director David Butler said: “We are delighted to have Mark on board as part of the senior management team. We are a progressive firm and we believe passionately in giving our staff all the tools they need to fulfil their potential.

Mark, a BSc (Econ) ACA, said he was delighted to be stepping up the ladder at Clay Shaw Butler.

Mark attended Cardiff University, obtaining a degree in Accounting and Management in 2003.
He joined Clay Shaw Butler in July, 2003, before moving to Cardiff as a chartered accountant trainee to finish his training contract and duly qualify with a Cardiff firm.
He rejoined Clay Shaw Butler in October, 2008, after returning to his roots in West Wales. He was appointed as a director from April 1, 2014.
During Mark's time at Clay Shaw Butler he has gained extensive knowledge and experience and has built up an excellent working relationship with his clients.
As well as managing his own client portfolio, Mark is also actively involved in a wide variety of audit and accounts assignments covering a broad spectrum of different business types.
Mark's work includes tax planning for owner-managed businesses, the preparation and audit of small and medium sized company accounts.
He also works on various specialist assignments such as charity accounts and Regulated Sector Client Money compliance work.
Mark's time is divided between working at the Clay Shaw Butler offices in Lammas Street in Carmarthen and visiting clients.
