The latest 'Shop Elli' column from the Llanelli Star

The latest 'Shop Elli' column from the Llanelli Star -
The first motor show of the year at the St Elli Shopping Centre was a big hit with shoppers.
The event was organised in conjunction with Radio Carmarthenshire and Scarlet FM radio stations.
Radio presenter Jay Curtis said: “It was great to see so many different vehicles from a wide range of local dealerships. The St Elli Shopping Centre is a busy area with lots of footfall and we were all impressed with the interest shown in the cars.”
St Elli Shopping Centre manager Andrew Stephens said: “We are very lucky in having plenty of room under the pyramid to stage a motor show like this. Interestingly, cars are always of interest to shoppers at the centre as we also have the VW Sinclair dealership mini-showroom, which is always very popular."

Mandy Turner, 54, is the manager at Peacocks. Mandy, who is from Gorseinon, has been manager since the store reopened in the centre a year last May. Before that, she was assistant manager in the Peacocks store in Trostre. Mandy has recently returned to work after suffering from meningitis. She said: “In total, I was off work for about six weeks and I’d like to thank everyone who sent me Get Well Soon wishes.”
Mandy added: “I love working here. The new company WM challenges us every day and that is very rewarding. I love working in Llanelli. The Llanelli people are very friendly and easy going. The centre is always kept spotlessly clean. The security team here are lovely and it is a lovely atmosphere to work in.

Offers
A special ‘clearance sale’ is now on at Saul Cass jewellers in the St Elli Shopping Centre.
Earlier this year, the Saul Cass business gave a big boost to the St Elli Shopping Centre by signing a new lease for No14 in the mall.
Saul Cass manager Anthony Gustafson said: “We are getting all geared up for new lines and new stock in the shop. The sale is being billed as a clearance sale, but no-one need get the wrong impression and think we are moving on.
“We are always here to serve the good people of Llanelli and they will be pleased to know that there are literally hundreds of bargains in our special sale.”
Meanwhile, at the Fragrance Shop in Llanelli, a mighty ‘Tax Free Prices’ promotion has touched down. There’s no need to head to Duty Free to save on great fragrances as you can simply head to The Fragrance Shop. They’ve whipped the VAT of many top fragrances including those by Gucci, Hugo Boss and Armani. But, be quick, the great offers take off for departure on August 1.
