The latest 'View from Richmond Park' Carmarthen Town AFC column from the Carmarthen Journal newspaper -

Carmarthen Town defender Matthew Rees has been voted player of the month for October by his opponents.
The former Wales Under 21 international polled most votes in the award which is sponsored by Corbett Sports. Rees, who was formerly with Millwall and Swansea City, has been a consistent figure in the WPL - featuring prominently in the League with Port Talbot, Neath and now Carmarthen.
Carmarthen Town manager Mark Aizlewood said: “This is a well deserved award for someone who has been a stalwart in defence for us all season.”

Carmarthen Town chairman Neil Alexander has expressed his delight at the success of the club’s first charity day on Saturday.
The team wore special pink shirts for the WPL clash with Prestatyn.
Mr Alexander said: “The event was a great success and when the final totals are added up we should have raised plenty of money for charity. I am grateful to everyone who helped make it a special day.”
