Can you help Christmas Toybox Appeal?

Did you know there are hundreds of Carmarthenshire families that are in desperate need of help this Christmas?
Founded last year, Carmarthenshire County Council’s Christmas Toybox Appeal is a local initiative which provides Christmas gifts for families in need.
Many can’t afford to buy food, gifts, or toys for their children, and will go to loan sharks in desperation.
Last year the Christmas Toybox Appeal collected and distributed over 700 gifts, helping disadvantaged families across Carmarthenshire.
The Christmas Toybox Appeal has ensured that local children, who might otherwise receive nothing or very little, get a gift at Christmas. Last year families received a Christmas present because of the incredible work of Christmas Toybox Appeal volunteer workers and donors.
When you're out and about doing your Christmas shopping this year, please spare a thought for those unfortunate families, and purchase an extra present to donate to this year’s Christmas Toybox Appeal.
Every gift donated will make a difference for families which Christmas would otherwise be just another day!
What kind of gifts are we are looking for?
We are looking at gifts for all ages; babies from 18 months up to teenagers. We would appreciate if you do not wrap your donated gifts for they will be allocated by the team of volunteers who work alongside the families.
Please feel free to donate gift wrap, scissors and sellotape for the volunteers.
You can then drop your gifts off at one of the following collection points:
