Council issues reminder on filming

Members of the public are being reminded that they are not currently permitted to film meetings held by Carmarthenshire County Council.
It follows misinformation being circulated on blog sites that the procedure has changed to allow filming.
The council’s position on the practice of taking photographs, or making audio or video recordings of meetings, will remain the same until a cross-party Task and Finish Group completes its investigations surrounding the use of social media and ‘e-Government’.
However, in order to reduce the burden of administration, members of the public who wish to view proceedings from the public gallery in the council chamber will no longer be asked to sign an undertaking not to film, only to read and agree to it.
In accordance with fire regulations, every visitor must be issued with a visitor’s card, and provide details of their name, address, and nature of their business.

I think its a joke its a public building, why should you have to say what you want there , (just to watch the meeting )do you have to do all this when you go to see the houses of parliment working in London , who do they think they are its only a county council after all, let have it live on the internet, and get the money to run it by stopping the council free mag
