Pontyberem venue for Welsh production

Theatr Ieuenctid Menter Cwm Gwendraeth will be performing in a colourful and lively show about childhood next month.
The production, Chwarae Plant, will be staged at Neuadd Pontyberem on Tuesday October 18 and Wednesday October 19 at 7.30pm featuring youngsters from the age of 11-18 as well as singer Gwenda Owen.
The show’s director Carys Edwards said: “This is a show that encompasses the life of a child from birth to youth. The audience will have a glimpse of a child coping with growing up and that through song, dance, varied scripts and poetry.
“It is an excellent opportunity for the cast to perform work which is all about their daily lives. This is an ensemble work where the contribution of each individual is equally important to the success of the performance.”
Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £3.50 for children and are available by contacting Menter Cwm Gwendraeth on 01269 871600.
