New sales manager for Lamphey Court Hotel and Spa
The prestigious Lamphey Court Hotel & Spa in Pembrokeshire has appointed a new sales manager.
Pembrokeshire-born Louisa Jones, pictured above, has returned home after gaining widespread experience in the hotel industry in London.
“I have always been passionate about Pembrokeshire and its tourism,” Louisa said as she took up a role which will also see her assist general manager Phil Thomas with the general management of the hotel.
“I understand the vital part tourism plays for Pembrokeshire and my role as sales manager will allow me to exercise this passion and contribute to the county’s growing popularity as a tourist destination.
“It is, of course a very exciting time to be arriving at the Lamphey Court Hotel & Spa; the finishing touches are being put to our new £2m spa and leisure complex.
“With spa manager Kristal Wright at the helm, we will be able to offer a wide variety of spa and beauty treatments and therapies.”
Louisa, 23, has moved home to Pembrokeshire after working in the hotel industry in London for more than two years.
She added: “I have vast experience of working in prestigious 5-star London hotels, from The Langham London, The Gore, The Radisson Edwardian group and the Patara restaurant chain as a business trainer and marketing consultant.
“The experience I acquired working in London will provide an excellent foundation for me to maximise the appeal of the Lamphey Court Hotel & Spa and ensure the venue remains a prominent and prestigious hotel in Pembrokeshire with a reputation extending throughout Wales and beyond.
Louisa, who graduated in American Studies at The University of Manchester, grew up in Llawhaden just outside Narberth. She attended Sir Thomas Picton School in Haverfordwest.
General manager Phil Thomas said: “I am delighted that Louisa has joined the team here are the Lamphey Court Hotel & Spa.
“These are exciting times for the hotel and spa and we have built a strong team to help make sure the venue fulfils its potential.”
The new spa at the hotel has literally risen like the phoenix from the ashes. It was back in April, 2010, when the old spa at the hotel saw one of the most dramatic fires seen in Pembrokeshire for many years.
Six fire engines and 45 firefighters from all over the county were called to tackle 15-metre-high flames bursting through the roof of the leisure facility.
Mr Thomas added: “All the staff here at the hotel and spa are hugely excited about the launch of our brand new facility.
“Costing up to £2 million and using exclusive products such as Cinq Mondes and Aromatherapy Associates, the Lamphey Court Spa will put Pembrokeshire on the map when it comes to luxury and relaxation.”
The facilities at the new spa will include – 14-metre Swimming Pool, Fitness Suite, Resistance Gym, Stretch Area, Treatment Rooms, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and a Hair Dressing Salon.
A special ‘invitation-only’ spa evening is being held at Lamphey Court on Monday, September 26.

I am atruggling to find somewhere in the West Wales area which offers something she would not experience often and hence might leave a nice lasting memory - without being a too 'over the top' for her - style and food-wise.
I have thought about St Brides Spa - where we would probably choose the 'best rooms with sea view'. They are quite pricy - but if its really nice we wouldn't mind that.
I am wondering though whether its too much of a young person place and she might feel uncomfortable.
Anybody any thoughts on this - it'll be early September we'll be going.
Thanks.......
Robert
