Betsan returns to her roots with Red Kite Law


Leading company and commercial specialist Betsan Thomas has returned to her West Wales roots as a partner with the newly-established Red Kite Law.
The biggest law firm in South West Wales is delighted to have Welsh-speaking Betsan on board after she decided to move west from M&A Solicitors in Cardiff.

Betsan spent 11 years with M&A in Cardiff, gaining extensive experience advising on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments, transaction funding and commercial contracts.
Betsan is part of a very a capable Welsh-speaking team at Red Kite Law, which has seven offices spread across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
She said: “Returning to my native Pembrokeshire is something that I’ve dreamt of for some time. Being part of Red Kite Law, I have been given the rare opportunity of carrying on my career as a commercial lawyer whilst still enjoying all West Wales has to offer.

Betsan’s career has also seen her work for commercial firms in London and Bristol, handling a wide range of corporate matters, including share sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements and management buy outs. She advises on transaction funding and stand-alone debt facilities.
Betsan also advises on commercial contracts, including terms and conditions, supply and distribution agreements, outsourcing agreements and franchising. She has drafted and advised on the implementation of share option schemes, including Enterprise Management Incentive schemes.
Described as “trustworthy, accurate and efficient” (Legal 500 2009) and “strong in commercial negotiations” (Legal 500 2010), Betsan was born in Pembrokeshire. She has settled in Efailwen and enjoys walking her dog in the Preseli hills.
