Strange but true . . .

A pet parrot called Houdini has been give the green light to travel on buses - providing its owner keeps it on a lead.
Bosses at bus firm Stagecoach were worried that Michael Burdette-Deakin's bird might fly off his shoulder and distract drivers or upset passengers.
But they agreed to the parrot getting on board as long as Mr Burdette-Deakin, of Newmarket, Suffolk, fitted it with a harness and lead.
