Think Big is the business idea in West Wales

‘Think Big,’ is the motto of a group of West Wales businesses who are joining forces to beat the credit crunch.
The Big Business Association (BBA) has been founded as an exciting new business network to help local firms promote themselves.
“There’s no point sitting back and expecting someone else to do the work for you in this age of the credit crunch,” BBA founder member Amanda Davies said.
“You’ve got to get up off your feet and sell yourself and the BBA has been founded to help West Wales businesses do just that.
“There are plenty of dynamic businesses out there in our communities and we will be providing a forum for them to get out there and sell themselves.”
Joining the BBA is free and many of the association’s services will also be provided at no charge to members.
“It really is ‘win-win’ as far as local businesses are concerned,” said Amanda, who has 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and advertising and who runs the popular Lush Model Agency.
“These are difficult times for many local businesses, but there is strength in numbers and we can all learn a lot from each other.
“The BBA provides powerful and rewarding networking opportunities which will help businesses grow stronger in very competitive times.
“There are no hidden catches in the BBA, so businesses will be missing a great ‘free’ opportunity if they don’t sign up to join.”
Co-founder Nerys Walters, with seven years of experience in education, business services and marketing, runs The Local handbook business and is equally as enthusiastic about the new networking venture.
“The Big Business Association members will benefit from free membership, a free business directory entry, special discounts, and free chat/forum access on the internet.”
The association is targeting Llanelli, Carmarthen and South/West Wales and also provides the chance to promote your business throughout Wales.
The BBA will hold charity evening events four times a year. The first event will be on Friday, July 3 (Tonight).
It will be a fundraising evening for the charity MIND.
