The latest 'On Song' column about the choral scene in and around Llanelli from the Llanelli Star - 

It’s been another busy week for Côr Meibion Llanelli. After the success of Saturday’s Christmas concert, the choir performed at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli on Monday night.
The performance was recorded for broadcast on the hospital radio station, Radio BGM.
On Wednesday night, the choir will be performing at the Thomas Arms Hotel in Llanelli in their last event before the festive break.
It’s also been a busy time for Burry Port Male Voice Choir. On Tuesday, they performed at a special memorial concert at St Mary's Church, Burry Port.
The choir is busy organising events for 2014, with a major Cymanfa Ganu already scheduled in for 7pm on March 9 at Jerusalem Chapel, Burry Port.
The event will raise funds for the Burry Port National Eisteddfod committee in advance of the 2014 Carmarthenshire Eisteddfod to be held in Llanelli.
Pontarddulais Male Voice Choir members are also busy organising their schedule for 2014.

Saturday April 5 - Noel Davies Memorial concert.
Saturday May 3 - Mawr Walking Club Anniversary Concert.
Friday May 9 - National Eisteddfod fundraising.
Saturday May 24 - Chelmsford Welsh Society.
Wednesday June 18 - St David's Hall Cardiff.
Tuesday July 1- Tabernacle Morriston.
Saturday November 22 – Concert in Llanelli.
Saturday November 29 - Annual Concert.
Sunday December 14 - Pontarddulais Carol Service.
Côr Meibion Llanelli will be marking their 50th anniversary in 2014.
Scheduled events so far include –
Saturday, March 15, concert with Bristol Male Choir in Bristol.
Saturday, June 7, Annual Concert at Ffwrnes Theatre with ‘Singverein 1870’, the choir’s ‘twin’ from Laudenbach in Germany.
Saturday, October 18, anniversary dinner with special guests at the Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli.
Saturday, December 13, Christmas Concert at Ffwrnes, Llanelli.
