The latest 'Shop Elli' column from the Llanelli Star

The latest 'Shop Elli' column from the Llanelli Star -

Christmas is coming early to one Llanelli shop.
There may be 'only' 132 days to Christmas (as at date Weds), but the Card Factory in the St Elli Shopping Centre in Llanelli is getting ready for the festive season.
The Card Factory is the first high street store to launch Christmas and shoppers are getting into the spirit by flocking to buy their festive cards.
A spokesman for the Llanelli Card Factory shop said: “Lots of our customers like to spread the cost of Christmas, so we make sure we launch our Christmas ranges in plenty of time.
“They seem to be going down very well with customers - and the staff are enjoying getting into the Christmas mood.”
The Card Factory, a business based in Wakefield, is the UK’s fastest growing specialist greetings card retailer, with more than 650 stores nationwide and new stores opening all the time.

Terri Singh is the manager at New Look in the St Ellli Shopping Centre. Terri has been at the store for just over two months, but has this week been promoted to manager. Terri, 26, has spent 10 years working with New Look in their Swansea store. She joined New Look on a modern apprenticeship after leaving Pontarddulais Comprehensive School. She worked her way up the ladder from supervisor and then sales manager before securing her manager’s job.
The New Look Llanelli branch is now being branded as a ‘Clearance’ store in an experiment by the firm.
Terri said: “These are exciting times for New Look and the store is being branded as a ‘Clearance’ venue as part of a trial. New Look will see how it works and hopefully it will take off.
“It’s great fun working for New Look. There’s always new things on the agenda, new ideas and great fashions. They are a great firm to work for,
“The St Elli centre store is always interesting as we get a lot of loyal customers who come back time and time again and everyone seems to know each other by their first name.”
