Multi-millionaire Kevin Green was the guest of honour and main keynote speaker at Llanelli Rotary Club's annual President's Dinner staged at the Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli.

Green is a self-made multi-millionaire and social entrepreneur. He is one of the UK’s largest residential property landlords and a multi-business owner.
The 48-year-old dyslexic was homeless in 1984. He attended Gelli Aur Agricultural College in 1982 and 1983. Sister Julie died as a result of lupus when she was 20 and Kevin was 22. He bought his first house in late 2000.
Today, his property portfolio runs into the hundreds and he is the UK's largest private sector landlord. He has a wealth of experience in the property investment world and heads a number of successful companies and other non-property related businesses.
He is also involved in coaching under his own brand of Kevin Green Wealth (KGW) and is a ‘Dynamo’ role model for the Welsh Government, inspiring young people in schools and universities to set up businesses.
Before making his fortune in business, he was a successful dairy farmer.
In 1999 he won a Nuffield Scholarship in agriculture and studied the attitudes and personalities of high achievers. He interviewed Bill Gates and Sir Richard Branson.
The wealth guru loves to educate, motivate and inspire others and his passion and enthusiasm is quite infectious. His down to earth approach is often referred to by those who know him as ‘exactly what it says on the tin’. Former Gower MP Gareth Wardell was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of Llanelli Rotary Club held at the Stradey Park Hotel. 'Class of 1980' from Burry Port enjoy reunion

There was a big class reunion held in Burry Port at the weekend. Members of the Class of 1980 from Porth Tywyn (Burry Port junior) School got together at The Coasting Pilot pub. The reunion was organised by Christine Rees and same 22 members of the original class of 28 turn up to discuss their old schooldays. One ‘Class of 1980’ member was Burry Port businessman Owain Davies. He said: “We all have very happy memories of our time in school. We had a fantastic teacher in Mr Heddwyn Jones, who now lives in Four Roads. “We were very fortunate to have the same teacher for three years and we were a very happy class. Ammanford-based Lauryn Davey is making a major mark in the world of Welsh athletics. At just 16, she is the best all-round athlete of her age in Wales. She's chalking up Welsh championship victories and has been honoured by her club, the Carmarthen Harriers. Lauryn's been earmarked as a future international star, but knows the road to the big championships is difficult, demanding and expensive. Ammanford businessman and well-known comic entertainer Phil Evans has launched a campaign to get cash backers for Lauryn's athletics career.
