Staff get tour of new health centre in Milford Haven

Healthcare workers got a tour of their new purpose built home today in Milford Haven.
The new £3million Manchester Square Health Centre will replace the current GP surgery buildings of Barlow House and Robert Street.
Services currently provided from Hakin Surgery will also be relocated in the new premises.
The building, the new health centre will also accommodate midwives and health visitors from York Street Clinic and health visitors and districts nurses from Hakin surgery.
An independent pharmacy is also located within the new facility. The new health centre will open on October 29 2012.
Temporary arrangements are in place for patients during the relocation:
Robert Street Practice – phone and fax lines will be out of use from October 26. For urgent matters patients can contact the surgery on 07970 024211 or 07970 024144. Emergency appointments only will be available from October 26-October 31. The practice can be contacted for non-urgent enquiries from October 29 on its current number 01646 690690
Barlow House and Hakin Surgeries - Emergency appointments only will be available from October 26-October 29. On October 26 for urgent matters patients can contact the surgery on 01646 695507. From October 29 both these surgeries will be contactable on 01646 690674
Patients are being asked to ensure they have enough medicines as there maybe a delay in repeat prescriptions during this period.
Mark Brandreth, Interim County Director for Pembrokeshire, said: “This is an exciting development for health services in Milford Haven and the practices are doing all they can to keep disruption to a minimum during the move.
“This new facility addresses a number of access issues for patients including improved car parking and improvements for disability access.”
The scheme has been developed in partnership between the Health Board, GP Practices, Community Health Council, NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership - Facilities Services and Assura Properties Ltd (selected third party developer).
