Nant Gwyn Faen in organic spotlight

The new 'Why I Love Organic' campaign (see earlier posts) will feature a number of Welsh firms.
One of them will be the Nant Gwyn Faen Organic Farm, specialists in local and organic food in Llandysul.
Nant Gwyn Faen, certified by the Soil Association, is run in accordance with organic standards.
A spokesman said :"We keep poultry and pigs. Welsh black cattle, and sheep graze our pastures during the summer. As well as running our bed and breakfast, an organic farm shop, and making bespoke furniture, we also grow our own vegetables.
"Our farm is located centrally between Carmarthen, Aberystwyth and Cardigan and provides an ideal base from which to explore the local area. Close to Llandysul, Newcastle Emlyn, Aberaeron, Lampeter and the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coast famous for dolphins, seals, puffins and spectacular scenery. Its cliff top walks and coastal paths provide excellent walking holidays. Sea kayak or canoe in the rivers, fish the Teifi River or go sea fishing from New Visit ancient Welsh castles, absorb the history and culture, have a cycling holiday, or simply relax on a sandy beach.
"In the farm shop we sell local and organic produce. We dry cure our own bacon from our rare breed pigs and make a variety of speciality pork sausages using our own home-mixed recipe - Leek, Cumberland, Toulouse, hot spicy Italian or simply plain pork We also sell home produced organic free-range eggs (from our ladies),and organic fruit and vegetables. We stock non-homogenized organic milk (Calon Wen), Welsh butter and yoghurt and Caws Cenarth award winning local cheeses.
"We supply all the organic essentials, like rice, pasta, cereals, flours, tinned food, jams and chocolate plus a range of Welsh delectables including Tregroes waffles, Welsh honey, jams, Aeron Jersey ice cream, cockles, laverbread and of course, leeks!
"We can supply welcome hampers for holiday cottages and visitors to the area."
