Tickets are now on sale for A Night With The Stars, the annual showcase concert of Loud Applause Productions, the popular production company run by Llanelli-based Cerith Owens.
A Night With The Stars takes place on Saturday 12th November at Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli, 7.00pm start.
This is a Gala Concert featuring the ever popular soprano Shân Cothi, the world famous Morriston Orpheus Choir, the brilliant young violinist Charlie Lovell Jones and an array of very talented vocalists from Loud Applause Rising Stars.
It will be a bilingual evening of first class musical entertainment to suit all tastes - choral, opera, classical musical theatre, jazz.
The host is BBC TV and radio personality Garry Owen and the accompanists for the Rising Stars are Andrew Pike and Rhiannon Williams Hale.
Charlie Lovell Jones is regarded as one of the best young violinists in Britain and a familiar face on the Urdd Eisteddfod stage.
He has won the composer’s medal at the Urdd National Eisteddfod.
Charlie Lovell-Jones has performed at the Royal Festival Hall with the Vivienne Price Memorial Orchestra and has played a solo with BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the English Chamber Orchestra.
Charlie, from Cardiff, loves playing the violin, as a soloist and with others. He finds it an enormously expressive way to communicate and is inspired greatly by his teacher Rodney Friend.
Charlie travels across the UK each week for lessons.
He is bilingual with English and Welsh and is studying German.
Charlie recently competed in the BBC Young Musician competition.
There is another Loud Applause autumn concert in Carmarthen on October 1.
It is the annual Royal British Legion Charity Gala Concert.
Loud Applaue Productions director Cerith Owens said: “This is always a very emotional evening and we have been very lucky this year to secure the services of two of Carmarthen’s finest sons.
“Wynne Evans and Mark Llewellyn Evans have both agreed to be the star names at the British Legion fund-raiser.
“The brothers don’t perform on the same concert stage very often so this represents a wonderful opportunity for the people of Carmarthen to see them both in action. It promises to be a very special occasion.
The ‘boys’ of Cor Meibion Llanelli Male Voice Choir are taking a well-earned holiday this August, with rehearsals resuming in September.

“The annual is always one of the highlights of the Llanelli musical calendar and we are hoping for a full house at Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli.
“Tickets have gone on sale for what is the choir’s yearly opportunity to showcase their latest repertoire before their ‘home town’ supporters.”
