Hywel Dda health staff praised at annual meeting

Health staff from across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire were recognised for their achievements over the last year at Hywel Dda University Health Board’s annual general meeting.
Chair Bernardine Rees OBE said: “Coming together for this important event has allowed myself and members of the Board to personally thank our staff, and to formally acknowledge their hard work and dedication.
“The success of our organisation continues to be built on our staff, many of whom go above and beyond the call of duty every day to provide the very best care for our patients and for that we owe them a debt of gratitude”.
The annual meeting also received the Annual Report for 2014/15, together with summary accounts and Annual Quality Statement.
The audience, which included staff, partners, stakeholders and members of the public, heard examples of good practice, from new community support services to help people stay healthy, to expanded roles enabling staff to develop further, as well as areas for improvement, such as waiting times and responding to complaints.
The Annual Report and Annual Quality Statement, which describe the achievements and challenges over the last year and look ahead to the next year, are available to download here http://www.wales.nhs.uk/sitesplus/862/page/75118
The Annual Quality Statement has serrated edges so that the pages can be easily pulled out and displayed in staff, patient or community areas.
